About AmberAmber is an experienced business and tax law attorney who has helped businesses and individuals with contracts, business structuring, litigation, tax research, audit representation, resolution of tax controversies and estate planning. Amber enjoys working with local businesses and their owners. She routinely represents clients before the IRS, the Colorado Department of Revenue and the U.S. Tax Court. Amber worked at another Boulder firm before joining Kottke & Brantz as a partner in 2020. In addition to being licensed to practice in all Colorado state courts, Amber is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court of Colorado and the U.S. Tax Court. Amber enjoys yoga, gardening, hiking and spending time with her husband and two children.
Community Involvement & BoardsAmber serves on the Board of Directors of the Bahini Education Project, a Boulder-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides social, economic, and academic support to girls in rural Nepal, and on the Board of Directors of The Windhorse Guild, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Boulder, CO whose mission is to develop employment opportunities for people recovering from mental health challenges and to provide education in the field of mental health care.
Amber is a member of the Trust & Estate Section and the Taxation sections of the Colorado Bar Association. She served as co-chair of the Tax, Estate Planning & Probate section of the Boulder County Bar Association from 2015-2018. Amber is also a member of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs.
