While we may also collect and use personal information during our legal representation of a client, this is carried out in accordance with our engagement agreements and professional responsibilities, and is not the main focus of this Notice.

It does not include information that is considered anonymous, de-identified, or aggregated by applicable law, unless otherwise provided under applicable law.

- Communications & Intake Data. We may collect Personal Information from you when you contact KB for any reason, such as when you use a “Contact Us” or similar form to obtain further information from us via our website or otherwise, when you fill out our firm “Intake Form”, and when you speak to our attorneys and staff about a new potential matter. Such information may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, organizational affiliation, data concerning your health, gender, race, marital status or veteran status. We may also collect information about your current employer, previous employers, education level, etc. Some of this information is considered “sensitive” depending on where you live. We generally do not use or disclose this information without your consent unless there is another legal basis for processing it (for example in the use of establishing or defending a claim).
- Information from Other Sources. We may obtain personal information from other sources, such as our clients, employees, or business partners. We may also receive information about you from social media platforms, such as when you interact with us on those platforms or access our social media content. We may collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as public social media profiles, publications, and other websites or materials available through search engines. Our website contains links from selected social media providers that link directly to our accounts on these platforms. Your social media data will not be processed during your visit to this website.
- Transaction and Payment Data. When you engage us to provide legal services or when we engage you to provide products or services, we may require that you provide us with your contact information such as name, address, email address and telephone number; billing information such as billing name and address; or financial information such as credit card information or bank account information.
- Identity Verification Information. To allow us to respond to requests for data access, correction and/or deletion, in accordance with applicable laws or when you visit one of our offices, we may collect Personal Information from you, including your contact information such as name, address, email address, and telephone number; a copy of your government issued ID (such as driver’s license or passport); and other identifiers as permitted or required by applicable laws and regulations.
- Reputation & Background Check Data. We may collect Personal Information from you, from publicly available sources, and from third parties, including background investigation or credit check service providers, in connection with performing diligence on our service providers, business partners, clients, job applicants, as well as on other entities on behalf of our clients. This data may include contact details, information concerning business practices, creditworthiness, reputation and business history, job titles or roles, and other identification or reputation data.
- Other Service Data: We may collect your Personal Information as needed to provide our legal services. Such Personal Information may be provided to us by you, by our clients (as a result of your relationship with one or more of our clients), and/or publicly available sources.
